Dwell 3 Valentine’s Day Dinner Menus For A Romantic Night At Home I can’t believe it’s already February, and Valentine’s day is around the corner! Regardless if you are celebrating Galentines or cooking dinner for a special someone, we wanted to share our ideal menu to cook for a romantic dinner! We always love finding new dishes to try on Pinterest, but sometimes it’s so tough to decide which sides to pair with which dish – SO we decided to simplify it for you and share our picks! We always love trying amazing restaurants in Dallas, but sometimes it’s too crowded on Valentines Day, so we love to stay home and cook. If you’re planning on staying in this Valentines (or if you need a new date night menu), check out our picks below! BLAIR’S MENU: c/o Appetizer: Cheese Plate: Delice de Bourgogne (Peter’s favorite soft cheese), manchego cheese, crackers, olives, and nuts Entrée: Creamy Parmesan Risotto with peas. I always use this recipe, but I go heavy on the wine and parmesan. I usually buy a reasonable bottle of chardonnay for cooking, but also something I also enjoy drinking while I stir! Spinach salad with a balsamic dressing. French Bread from the oven, so it’s perfectly crisp Wine: We picked up a few bottles of Holman Ranch Pinot Noir from our trip to Carmel, and it pairs perfectly with this! Dessert: Cheesecake – This recipe is so good! Risotto is the best comfort food and always delicious, so this is one of our favorite meals to cook. Also, since Valentine’s is on a week day, this is fairly simple to cook! ELLEN’S MENU: c/o Appetizer: Spinach salad with strawberries, blue cheese and balsamic Entrée: Steak Au Poivre- This NY Times recipe is incredible! Sides: Parmesan asparagus, potatoes au gratin (everything is better Southern-style), and creamed corn Garlic bread Wine: Chloe Pinot Noir – Ellen loves Chloe Wine Butterfinger Ice Box cake If you can’t tell, Ellen LOVES sides and this meal is perfect for the steakhouse vibe without being in a crowded Valentine’s Day restaurant! JANIE’S MENU: Janie and Kevin love cooking together every week, so they decided to go with a more “team” activity and plan to make raclette together! This is one of our favorite family meals, plus it’s the perfect teaser for their honeymoon in Switzerland in a couple weeks!
