TREND ALERT: Scarf Tops

Move over 90s, Y2K is having a moment.

This year has been the year of so many throwback trends, and I have to say, I’m loving it. Perhaps it was because I had so much fun dressing up in my middle school to high school years OR because those years were the best years to stalk the wardrobes of our favorite pop princesses (hello, Britney and Christina) – but get ready for so many 2000s flashbacks this season, and we’ll be sharing all of our favorites!

First up, the return of the scarf top. From halter tops to the simple knotted style, these triangular tops are such a fun trend to wear this season – and a return of the glorious “going out tops” of the early 2000s that you have to admit, you rocked back in the day.

Since scarf tops can be a bit skimpy, shall we say, I love pairing scarf tops with wide leg pants – like these jeans I snagged from Forever 21 this season. For a feminine look to wear on a date night, pair a simple scarf top with a midi skirt and mules for a chic and easy ensemble. Heading on vacay? Pack a vibrant silk scarf to knot in the back with your favorite white trousers or flared jeans. However you style it, these tops are such a fun way to elevate your outfit for a night out! Best of all, you can snag so many styles online (from ultra-cropped to more conservative) or tie your favorite Hermes top for a chic new look.
