Caribbean The Baths At Virgin Gorda, BVI One of my favorite parts about traveling is exploring the natural wonders of the world. I find myself reading countless articles about “the most beautiful places’, but many times these highlighted destinations require a trip around the world for a visit – which doesn’t always fit in the schedule. Sure I’d like to fly to Victoria Falls or scuba dive at the Great Barrier Reef, but I’ve learned you don’t have to fly around the hemisphere to soak in Earth’s beauty. Some of the lesser known “natural wonders” of the world may only be a short flight away! That being said, today I’m excited to share my recent visit to The Baths at Virgin Gorda, BVI. This past month, my best friend, Paige, and I planned a spontaneous trip down to the Ritz Carlton St. Thomas for a little R&R – more on that to come. Since Paige spent her summers sailing around the islands growing up, I had an insider’s guide of what to do, where to visit, and how to hop from island to island to soak in as much culture as possible! After a couple hour sail from St. Thomas to Virgin Gorda (the third largest island in the BVIs), we docked on the island to discover one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen! The Baths are a natural geologic formation along the beach that’s made up of large granite boulders. Taking a step inside and exploring the formation, you’ll find a variety of natural grottos filled with crystal clear water. Following the grottos through the caves, you’ll eventually make your way to a private beach surrounded only by yachts and sailboats. If you’ve ever wondered what paradise looks like, this is it. Whether you’re looking for a getaway with your bestie, a romantic honeymoon destination, or simply an excuse for Caribbean sunshine, I 100% recommend adding The Baths at Virgin Gorda to your list.
