Hotels Baltazar Budapest: A Charming Boutique Hotel For Design Lovers When you combine fashion and travel, is there really anything better? If you’ve ever been to Budapest, you know there are two distinct sides to the city: Buda and Pest. While I’ll dive into the city a bit more later, today I want to share one of the most charming boutique hotels I stayed in during my recent road trip through Europe: Baltazar Budapest. Nestled in the beautiful Buda Castle district, Baltazar brings a modern flair to the historic side of the city. This family-owned boutique hotel definitely caters to the interests of design-lovers, with interiors inspired by Vivienne Westwood, Andy Warhol, and Jean-Michel Basquiat to name a few. The bold decor combined with the rich reds definitely stands out amongst the traditional aspects of this quaint district, and it feels like the perfect hideaway from the bustling city! What makes this hotel so unique is that it only offers 11 rooms and suites, so it provides an intimate experience. The concierge takes initiative to call you by name and provide a tailored stay to guarantee the best time in Budapest. I stayed in the Deluxe Suite, and absolutely loved my room. The rooms combined modern and vintage furnishings with king beds and plush linens. The bathrooms featured handcrafted local limestone, rain shower heads, and luxury bath products by L’Occitane – my favorite! Since Baltazar is located in one of the top Gastronomic Quarters of Budapest, it’s no surprise the hotel restaurant is top notch. With traditional hungarian fare, an extensive Eastern European wine list, and some of the best gins in the world, you can have a delicious meal without even leaving the hotel! I made it a routine to stop by the Baltazar Grill once a day for a glass of rose. The bistro feel in the heart of the Buda Castle District was absolutely amazing, and if I had my way, I would partake in this everyday! Next time you plan a trip to Budapest, be sure to consider Baltazar Budapest. I had an amazing experience, and I definitely hope to stay here again! (Also, check out Baltazar’s sister hotel, Pest-Buda! It provides a similar vibe and is right around the corner!) And ok, I know it’s abnormal to see a fleet of Hungarian soldiers on horseback out front, but it was so fun that I had to share! Thank you Baltazar Budapest for partnering with me on this post.
