City Guides City Guide: Kailua-Kona You probably noticed a flood of Hawaiian vacation photos throughout our instagram feed recently, so today I’m thrilled to share a vacation recap + a Kailua-Kona city guide for any of you that want to explore a new destination! If you remember my post from my trip to Kukio last year (see here), you will know how beautiful this island is! Situated on the Big Island, Kona offers so many different experiences to every traveler on every budget! I recently traveled back to Kukio, a private club in Kona, with my boyfriend’s family. With incredible grounds, fun activities like paddle boarding and golf, a luxurious spa, and some of the most delicious restaurants ever, Kukio is a Hawaiian paradise all year round!! Check out some of my other Kona favorites below: WHAT TO DO: Dive with the manta rays – For those who aren’t as adventurous, you can dine at Ray’s on the Bay at the Sheraton and watch the divers with a Kona Beer in hand Kona is known for their coffee, so take a local coffee tour! Helicopter over (or drive to) Waipi’o Valley for beautiful waterfalls and incredible scenery Try whale watching in the winter Explore Hawaii Volcanoes National Park Snorkel with the sea turtles and dolphins Visit Papakolea – a green sand beach for those willing to take the hike to get there! Trust me, it’s worth it :) WHERE TO STAY: Kukio Four Seasons Hualalai: This resort is situated next door to Kukio, and it is beautiful!
