Planning a trip to Miami but have no clue where to begin?

Don’t worry we planned out a whole weekend for you! This is a guide to our favorite restaurants, bars, activities, and, of course, in true Miami fashion, all the clubs!

Restaurants

Komodo

This spot is our all-time favorite when visiting Miami! As Dave Grutman’s crown jewel restaurant, Komodo is a fun and vibrant Asian-fusion restaurant. With a live DJ every night, you are always in for an exciting dining experience with delicious food and fantastic beats. Our favorite dishes include the lobster dynamite, the tuna & toro roll, and their signature dish, the Peking Duck! You also cannot leave without getting a side of their fried rice as it’s to die for! Also, the third-floor lounge turns into a club after dinner service if you’re looking to dance post-dinner!

Sexy Fish

Sexy Fish originated in London, England as a trendy, new style, upscale Sushi restaurant.  Located in the heart of Brickell, this spot boasts extravagance at every turn. The interior is complete with an under the sea theme. Be sure to check out the bathrooms which include sinks made to look like mermaid tails. The restaurant is truly as photogenic as the amazing sushi. We recommend trying the Crispy Pink Shrimp & Yuzu Kosho Dip, the Yellowtail Sashimi & Green Mandarin Ponzu, the Wagyu Gyoza, the Soft-Shell Crab & Nuoc Cham Signature Roll, and the Caramelized Black Cod. This spot being brand new to Miami is difficult to get a reservation for, so we recommend booking in advance of your trip.

Baoli

This is restaurant is best for our late-night dining crowd. Located in Miami Beach, it is sure to get the party started for the night. They have a DJ all night with bottle service while you’re eating dinner. They also have a very picturesque outdoor patio filled with greenery and string lights. Once dinner ends, the restaurant gets poppin‘. If you’re feeling a little adventurous and wild, the waiters and bartenders will even help you get onto the bar to dance the night away, but be cautious as they light the edge on fire for added effect while girls are dancing on the bar. We recommend trying the Baoli Sliders, the Rock & Roll Signature Roll, and the Wood Oven Roasted Salmon.

Kiki On the River

This restaurant is the ultimate Sunday Funday brunch spot! The restaurant, adorned in floral arrangements, features a traditional Greek cuisine menu which is incredible. On Sunday’s, they have a live DJ morning until night with dancing and rose! Or if you’re more into an evening environment, on Saturday’s they host a Moroccan themed night complete with belly dancers and live entertainment. The ambiance is this restaurant is also immaculate as it is situated right on the water with a never-ending stream of yachts gliding by. We recommend trying the Saganaki, Octopus, and Lamb Chops!

Moxie’s

Moxie’s is located in the heart of Brickell. It has a very young and upcoming atmosphere. This restaurant is great if you want to do something a little less fancy but still has a good vibe. It’s also within walking distance of many bars and restaurants if you want to hop around to a few different ones. We recommend trying the Spicy Tuna Roll, the Nachos, and the Loaded Cheeseburger. Also, you can’t leave here without trying their Espresso Martini’s!

Bars

Sugar

This rooftop bar, located on the top of the East Hotel in Brickell, offers 360-degree views of Downtown Miami. Be sure to check out this spot during sunset for a perfect photo op. Also, there is a speakeasy located behind an iron door behind the bathrooms. When checking in be sure to ask to go to the “Tea Room” and the hostess with escort you to the secret room.

Rosa Sky

This rooftop bar is brand new to Miami! Located 22 floors up you can’t be the panoramic views and skyline. They have incredible tapas as well as many specialty cocktails. They make sure to always have a bold music lineup that is sure to put you in a dancing mood. Be sure to try their signature cocktail, the Rosa Sky.

The Wharf

This one of our all-time favorite scenes. Whether it’s a Saturday during the day or a weekday night, the Wharf is always a good time. Located right on the water, you have a great ambiance of passing yachts and water breezes. Get a little hungry during while socializing and drinking? Don’t worry! The Wharf has multiple food vendors on the premises that you can choose from! Late Night at the Wharf turns into a bottle service club with a live DJ. This is the perfect hangout spot all day long!

Bodega

Bodega is located on Miami Beach! This bar has a very speakeasy vibe as you enter into the lounge area through a taco shop. The lounge has a very lush vibe as it is full of velvet furniture and dimmed lighting. They often feature live bands and themed nights! Plus, if you get hungry, you can always go get a taco from the entrance!

Blackbird Ordinary

One of the best, casual hipster bars in Miami, Blackbird Ordinary offers its amazing bartenders who mix your favorite drinks to perfection. DJ’s provide the music on most nights with a giant dance floor. Play a round of pool or spread out in a spacious comfortable booth. Blackbird definitely offers something for everyone!

Activities

Boat Day

The first thing we think of when we hear Miami is boats! Take a day or even a half-day and charter your very own yacht. You’ll get to dock at a sand bar and dance the day or night away! You can also dock the boat and go for a swim in the refreshing Miami waters. We use Boatsetter to reserve our boats! With thousands of boats to choose from, Boatsetter makes the possibilities endless. They can find a captain, staff, or even a specific type of boat to make your day personalized and luxurious.

Beach Day

Who doesn’t love white sandy beaches? Miami has some of the most beautiful in the world! We always rent a chair at the Miami Beach Edition. Don’t worry, you don’t need to be a hotel guest to rent a chair on the water. They also have bar and food service right to your chair on the beach! Take a refreshing dip into the crystal blue waters and just relax for an afternoon! If you’re looking for a little more of a beach party, check out Nikki Beach Club. They have a private beach as well as a DJ and bottle service under private cabanas! It’s the perfect day-time party scene!

Wynwood Walls

This artistic neighborhood is perfect for an afternoon of art, drinks, and delicious food. The whole neighborhood is essentially a giant outdoor walking museum. You’ll see murals from local artists as well as dancers and musicians. This area also has an assortment of artisan coffee shops and fun bars to choose from.

Brickell City Center

One of the best parts about Miami is definitely the shopping. Brickell City Center, located in the middle of the city, has hundreds of stores and boutiques to choose from. This is the perfect place to buy yourself a going-out outfit or trendy street-style look bound to catch the eye. This center is in an outdoor open-air setting, so you still get the feeling you’re are soaking up the sun. Also, be sure to stop into some of the restaurants for a quick bite! Our favorites are Tacology and Pubbelly Sushi!

SLS Pool Party at Hyde Beach

Miami is famous for throwing a one-of-a-kind pool party. Our favorite is at the SLS South Beach Hotel. Be sure to get your tickets for this one in advance as they sell out quickly! This venue showcases world-renowned DJ’s and throws a huge dance party. Get a little sweaty from the dancing? You can hop right into the pools for a quick cool-off. We recommend reserving a table in advance as this spot fills up!
