Itineraries Weekend Itinerary: A Couples Getaway In Las Vegas When most people think about Vegas, the last thing that comes to mind is a relaxing, romantic getaway. However Vegas is one of my favorite weekend getaways – not because of the partying (been there, done that) – but because the city has so much to offer from fabulous restaurants, amazing shows, luxurious hotels, and much more. Best of all, Las Vegas is always one of the most affordable flights round trip from Dallas – always a win! A couple months ago, my boyfriend and I flew to Vegas to celebrate the opening of The Palazzo’s newest cocktail club, Electra. This was my second time staying at The Palazzo, and I loved it just as much as first! The hotel suites are so spacious and luxurious, and the large windows give the best views of the city! Tip: if you book a room at The Palazzo, upgrade to VIP check-in. Not only does this allow you to skip the check in lines, you also have full access to the private VIP lounge that offers complimentary food and cocktails all weekend. We had such a great trip from start to finish, and I would love to repeat the trip again soon! Since our focus was mainly on relaxing, dining, and exploring, it was the perfect couples weekend getaway. FRIDAY: 12:00 – Arrive In Vegas Since our suite at The Palazzo wasn’t ready until 3:00, we dropped off our luggage at the concierge, explored the hotel a bit, and dabbled in the casino. 1:00 – Brunch At Bouchon If you go to Vegas, you HAVE to stop by Bouchon for a meal. The french-inspired brunch was phenomenal, the service was excellent, and the large selection of champagne cocktails made settling into Vegas a breeze! 3:00 – Makeover At The Atrium At The Palazzo Since I was on vacay, I figured why not treat myself to a little pampering! I booked an appointment with in The Atrium cosmetics store (similar to a Vegas-style Sephora), and I had so much fun getting a smokey-eyed look for our cocktail party later that evening. (Note: The Atrium is located in the casino of The Palazzo, so Charley thoroughly enjoyed gambling a bit during my makeover. It was a win-win for both you and your guy!) 7:00 – Dinner At Chica If you like Latin-American food, you will love Chica! With influences from Venezuela, Peru, Brazil, Mexico, and Argentina, the culinary experience is one of a kind. Add in some tasty Mezcal cocktails, and you will love it! Plus it’s located in the hotel, so you don’t have to worry about walking in heels or ubering. 9:00 – Cocktails At Electra Since we flew in for the grand opening event at Electra, we stayed here for most of Friday night. Electra is the newest cocktail bar in The Palazzo, and I absolutely loved it! It was a smaller lounge than some of the others in Vegas, so it was the perfect spot for drinks for two without the large crowds of other Vegas bars. The vibe was lively and upbeat, and perfect for a date-night feel! If you’re in the treat yourself mindset, the midnight pizza from room service is pretty delicious – just saying! SATURDAY: 9:30 AM – Yoga By Silent Savasana Since we chose to have a reasonably low-key Friday night (for Vegas standards), an early morning yoga class in the Waterfall Atrium of The Palazzo was the perfect way to start our Saturday. What was so cool about the Silent Savasana was that it was like a silent disco for yoga. Each person is given a headset for the class with the instructor’s voice paired with a curated live music from the on-site DJ. It was definitely a Vegas twist on morning yoga! 12:00 PM – Lunch And Cocktails At The Aquatic Club After yoga, we headed to The Aquatic Club for a little Vitamin D. Compared to some of the other pools I’ve visited in Vegas, The Aquatic Club was my favorite. The pool was smaller and a bit more exclusive than the rest, so it was upbeat and lively without the packed party crowds. Plus the cochktails were delish! Heads up: the lunch menu at The Aquatic Club was a bit pricier than your typical pool bar menu, but it definitely hit the spot. 4:00 – Cocktail Class At Rosina Since we were in Vegas with The Palazzo, we had the opportunity to attend a fun cocktail-making class by the mixologists from The Dorsey, Electra, and Rosina – the three bars that make up the Venetian Collective. While this class may not be offered all the time, I will say the drinks were delicious and would recommend each bar if you’re looking for a happy hour spot! 5:30 – Rejuvenate at REVIV Wellness Let’s be real, my weekend in Vegas at almost 30 was a lot different than my weekend at 21. To rejuvenate for a night out after the pool, we booked a session at REVIV Wellness together to see what the hype of IVs was all about. Regardless of how you’re feeling or what you’re up to in Vegas, REVIV was awesome! They offer numerous types of IVs to replenish hydration and deliver nutrients and vitamins to cure common issues like hangovers (obvi), jet lag, allergies, a cold, exhaustion, dehydration, and more. Plus you get to chill in comfy massage chairs in private rooms to watch Netflix for 30 minutes. We felt so energized and refreshed after – I wish I could do this every week in Dallas! (FYI when my mom saw my post about REVIV on IG stories, she thought we were in the hospital. If you happen to post anything with an IV in your arm, just be sure to clarify ha) 7:00 – Dinner At Yardbird Southern Table & Bar Since there’s nothing I LOVE more than Southern food, Yardbird Southern Table & Bar was my favorite meal of the weekend. The farm-fresh ingredients and modern twist on classic Southern dishes was divine, and it’s no surprise the restaurant opened additional locations in LA, Miami, and Singapore. I also hear Yardbird has a delicious brunch if you prefer your food comas in the morning. 9:00 – Show: Cirque du Soleil I don’t think a trip to Vegas is complete without a show, and we loved checking out one of the Cirque du Soleil shows during our trip. We also considered Blue Man Group or David Copperfield (we were on a magic kick after Magic Castle in LA…), but tickets were sold out. We loved Cirque du Soleil and would definitely recommend it! If Britney Spears is live when you’re there (and if you can convince your date to join you), her show is amazing! #bigfan 10:30 – Tiesto At Hakkassan Since we were heading home in the morning, we decided to go big our last night and snag tickets to see Tiesto. Most of the nightclubs feature top DJs, so be sure to check and see who’s performing while you’re there. We lucked out with Tiesto tickets and had so much fun at club! If you’re looking for delicious Asian food, Hakkassan is one of my favorite restaurants too! SUNDAY: Breakfast in bed then fly home. Overall, we had such an amazing trip to Vegas! What I love most about Las Vegas is how every trip is so different. You can find whatever vibe you’re looking for in this city from spa weekends to bachelorette parties and more. While I’ve spent a full week in Vegas in the past, two nights is really all you need to plan an exciting getaway! What are you waiting for!?
